Textiles club with Miss Lane on a Thursday 2:30-3:30

The Technology department is housed in a modern suite of well equipped rooms including its own dedicated ICT suite.


All students study Design and Technology at Key Stage 3. The course is organised on a yearly rotation with each rotation being approximately 9-10 weeks. During KS3 all students study Resistant Materials, Food Technology, Textiles Technology, Graphics and Electronics. Students make an options choice at the end of Year 8 from the following :- Resistant Materials, Food Technology, Textiles and Product Design.


Following the school being granted Technology College Status in September 2005 Technology is compulsory to all students at K.S.4 with AQA Resistant Materials, Food Technology, Textiles and Product Design currently offered at G.C.S.E.

Class sizes average 20 students both at K.S.3 and K.S.4..
